1-1 Dog Walking
More than simply physical exercise, these walks are designed to provide your dog with calm structure, purposeful engagement, and individual attention throughout the walk.
Each 1-1session is tailored to the dog in front of me, creating a balanced experience that supports both behaviour and wellbeing — rather than relying on overstimulation or excessive activity to tire them out.
Depending on your dog’s needs, the walks may focus on:
-
Suitable, bespoke routes for walking
-
Calm exploration of different environments
-
Behaviour-focused exposure to surroundings and distractions (great for reactive dogs)
-
Play, fulfilment, and breed-specific outlets
The result is a more settled, responsive, and happier dog both during and after the walk.
Suitable for:
-
Dogs with reactivity or behavioural sensitivities
-
Dogs requiring calm, confident handling
-
Puppies and young dogs developing appropriate walking habits
-
Dogs that are better suited to individual rather than group settings
-
High-engagement breeds needing purposeful fulfilment
-
Owners seeking a more attentive, tailored walking experience for their dog.
Dogs do not need behavioural concerns to benefit from this approach. Many thrive within the consistency, calmness, and individual focus that structured 1-1 walks provide.

1-1 Walk&Train
The way I walk and train is very simple. It is always 1-1 to allow your dog to get bespoke and complete attention while training. They are taken out as if they are on a walk, but they get a training session with me for the time they are out.
Currently working through the puppy phase? This is a way to get some training in while you're working or to help boost that vital training time while they're young. If your dog has behaviour issues, this is the perfect solution to give you a break that day.
It allows me to be able to take your dog to various places, just as I would my own, so the walks stay fun and enriching.
It keeps your dog in a familiar setting as they would be walking with you, making transitioning training a lot easier when you want to walk your dog.

*What training is covered on the Walk&Train?
What is widely called 'basic' training. Things like recall, loose lead walking, heelwork, basic queues like leave it/sit/wait and settle training. The type of training that is often taught as a preventative measure to help you and your dogs daily life.
If your dog needs more than basic training, a seperate behaviour plan may be needed, or referral to a trusted Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist.

What is Dog Behaviour support?
Your Dog's behaviour will be unique to them; they all have different surroundings, owners, lifestyles, genetics, needs and preferences. These factors all contribute to their behaviour and welfare; if one is not meeting their needs, their behaviour changes, often to something undesirable such as destruction, barking, biting etc.
FurFit works via ethical and welfare-based methods, which means using positive training. Looking at the reason behind the behaviour, instead of just giving you a 'quick fix'. The relationship you have with your dog is so important and is directly reflected in how well they take to training.
Types of Behaviour Support Offered
Separation Issues

Want to know what issue your dog may have? Get in touch, FurFit can either help the issue, or refer you to a trusted CCAB to help.
Behaviour support should always start with your dog having a vet check, you should not pay a professional who isn't making sure your dogs behaviour isn't pain/illness related first!
If all is clear, we will then have an initial consultation, followed by a tailor made behaviour modification plan written up for you to follow, with follow-up sessions after you have carried out the plan. FurFit would be contactable throughout the process to support.
This can be followed by ongoing support via phone and in person if needed.
What do you get in a behaviour plan?
Prices
Please note- pricing is considerably lower due to me being pre-certified CCAB, meaning I am working on cases in order to build a portfolio in order to be assessed- then I will be a full CCAB (Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist) after successful assessment.
